Ive been trying for a month, doesnt work. Anybody else have this problem?

A:Depends on the system - the specs the amount of files (and I do have a lot of files and 1800 gigs hard drive space) full scan takes about 35 minutes on mine.

detected but i am a novice at all this computer stuff and cant work out how to remove them can anybody help?

A:Click on the number across the top.They will then show on the screen.tick them and click remove.Better to keep them off than take them off.Once you've removed them.Do another scan to make sure it is clean.Then put File Hippo in your search and download.Spyblaster.That protects your system.Also if you don't have Firefox.Also get that.Put Adblock on from their add ons.

100% Q: ad-aware 2007 free edition - problems?

I used to have the ad-aware SE personal (free) version but it just stopped allowng me to update it so i deleted it. I then installed the new ad-aware 2007 free version but on every scan when I click on remove, it doesn't remove everything and brings up an error message saying it'll remove the rest when I restart my computer, when ever I restart it, it doesn't do anything. Is there a better, or just as good as ad-aware, anyti-spyware programs (free versions)? The SE personal was the best ever. I've tried avg's anti-spyware but it's only a 30 day trial.

A:You can ease up on the drama on this one, Raver. Your Ad-Aware is working just as it was designed so don't worry. Many times, programs require a reboot in order to complete a task because some other program or function is using a piece of what needs to be removed. Same as Add-Remove sometimes requires you to reboot to complete the install or uninstall.

100% Q: Help with updating Ad-Aware 2007 (free edition)?

Hi and thanks for clicking I just downloaded ad-aware 2007 free addition and my defintions files are out-dated whenever I open it, it says "database, outdated defintions file" and then "Suggested action :webupdate 60" i then click update and it says SSL download failed , suggested action, run webupdate any ideas? i have gone to the site and gotten the update folder but it wont do anything please give thorough instructions thanks -john

A:Hello, Cheeky Grasshopper is incorrect. I have Ad-Aware 2007 on my computer and it does do updates when they are available. I usually check once a week before I do a scan and have never had a problem. Since you say that you just downloaded the program, something might have gone wrong with the download or it may be a problem at the site. If you want, you can try again tomorrow or reboot your computer now and try now or uninstall the program, reboot and then reinstall the program now. That's the best advice I can give you for now. Edit: I just went and checked to see if there was an update available. There was and it updated without any problems so I would suggest that you either reboot and try again or uninstall and then reinstall and then try the update once more
