For most of my teenage years I had terrible acne all over my face. I have recently gotten rid of it, but the scars are still very visible. Does anyone know any good home remedies that work to fade acne scars?

A:I don't know of any home remedies specifically, but there are a few treatments and products that will help them fade faster. The most effective way to get rid of them is to get a series of light chemical peels at a spa or skin care center. It's not painful at all, and the overall result on your skin is great, but it can be pricey. Six treatments are reccommended to see a major improvement, and it costs anywhere from $60-$100 a treatment depending on where you go. Using a daily product with alpha hydroxy acid (glycolic acid) will help the marks fade faster, and there are also spot lighteners that you can use on very dark spots(look for a product with hydroquinone). Those are your best options. It really depends on how much you want to spend, or how long you're willing to wait. I hope that helps!

i have had acne scars for about a year and i hate it it really lowers my self esteem and i hate mirrors, i look at my scars and remember those painfull memories, the deppression that it caused. When my skin was good i could get girls in a click of a finger and now girlz look at me and just see a hidious beast its really upsetting :( me and my mom went to a local drug store and i told the women what scars i have and wateva and she reccomended a product named bio oil? i brought it and i wanna try it out if u have a story like me plz tell or any advice?

100% Q: How can i get rid of minor acne scars without the expensiveness and lasers?

100% Q: What is the fastest way to remove acne scars?

I have intense acne scars from at least three years ago now that just don't want to go away. I know that you aren't supposed to scratch at it, and they'll go away in a year because your skin eventually sheds and blah blah blah But I have a lot of black and white heads so I kind of scratch at it, thus my face not quite healing. What are fast (ish) ways to get rid of scars? I think I would be a lot prettier without them damnit! any and all suggestions are appreciated
